Borderland of Adventure

The campaign is set in the Barony of Ratik in the World of Greyhawk. Play began in the main campaign on 14 October 2011. Prior to that, we had run a modified version of the Kingmaker adventure path from Paizo LLC set on the border between Ratik and the Bone March. (And here’s how I converted it to the World of Greyhawk). The events of that adventure have affected and played into the events occurring in Borderland of Adventure. We play weekly on Wednesday nights and I post session summaries on Fridays. To date (May 2014) we’ve played over 80 sessions; as each session is four hours long (give or take) we’ve been playing for almost 320 hours. The campaign has thus far been centred on Ratik’s southern and eastern borders, focusing on the attempts of the Bone March humanoids to invade Ratik. As play has continued, the party have come to the realisation that a (currently unknown) individual is behind the border incursions…

Our Heroes

Many brave adventurers have appeared in the campaign. You can check out a list of the most prominent (along with a roll of the heroic fallen) here.

Borderland of Adventure: The Next Generation

As well as the main campaign, I’ve started a secondary campaign (The Next Generation) set in the same area to introduce my boys to roleplaying. I’ll be posting session summaries as and when we play.

The Shattered Star

The Heroes of the Loftwood returned to Ratik from Dekspoint with heavy hearts and information vital to Ratik’s survival — they now knew which fell agency is behind the recent attacks on the Barony. The Sword Lords — learning that they faced none other that the fell death knight Lord Monduiz Dephaar and his shadowy master, the dread demon lord Demogorgon — cast about for some weapon or stratagem to defend their nation.

This campaign within a campaign details this quest and primarily uses the Shattered Star adventure path published by Paizo.
