A ship’s figurehead—a rampant eagle with wings outstretched—looms over this tavern’s door and casts its shadow into the muddy street. Flecked with peeling, weather-worn paint the once-proud eagle has seen better days. In many ways, it reflects the faded fortunes of the Bloody Eagle’s owner, Fruen the Unlucky (CN female half-orc fighter 2/thief 3).
At the end of last session, we left our heroes battling against the hill giant chieftain and his detestable guards and concubines.
Learning a new system is both exciting and daunting. Not only can it represent a large investment in (insert currency of choice) it also often requires a decent amount of time, particularly if you are the GM.
Languard’s Dreaming Spires—or sometime simply “the Spires”—is the greatest seat of learning in the Duchy and its only university. Sprawling over the Alina’s Isle, the Dreaming Spires stands in splendid isolation from the stink and clamour of the city. Only reachable by boat, it is here those desirous of learning come.
