Skull & Shackles #7: Crabs Are Back on the Menu!

The rest of the day passed uneventfully, and the Bards finally managed to get some sleep. The next day—the eleventh since they were press-ganged started like any other. However, in the afternoon the captain decided he fancied crab for dinner. “Luckily” the ship was near a submerged reef and he despatched the Bards and Sandara Quinn—without a boat— to gather the required crabs.

Gathering the crabs was a doddle—several of the Bards were puissant swimmers and, of course, Vilimzair had once spent a summer on a crab fishing boat—until a trio of reefclaws turned up. Day 12 dawned fine and clear. Today, Vilimzair distinguished himself by being the first person to discover a beetle colony on the ship. Bizarrely, none of his companions particularly appreciated the bard’s heroics in eliminating the colony of Deadly Wood Eating Beatles.

Still, no matter, as night fell about the ship, several of the Bards plotted to yet further their own agendas among the crew…
