At the end of last session, we left our heroes in dire straits. Trapped in Tessarael’s tomb by the undying one herself the party were low on resources. As they waited for their enemy to descend the stairs, they frantically used what healing magic remained to them. Sounds of more spellcasting (and cackling) drifted down the stairs from above as Tessarael also prepared for the final battle.
At the end of last session, we left our heroes preparing to continue their exploration of the darkened tower. Having explored the bulk of the first level, they pushed on through a door that led to a room containing nothing but a staircase leading down to the next floor. The staircase opened into a chamber from which two corridors ran away from each other at right-angles. Four doors, and one in the room as well, hinted at areas beyond.
At the end of last session, we left the heroes about to open a door in a sunken chamber deep below the tower until recently claimed by the cultists of Ashardalon. Before Krorz could do so, however, a bloated undead creature burst from the nearby water and attacked him. His battle-honed reactions saved him, however, and the creature was quickly slain (mainly by Ulmo’s magic as the deep water stymied most other attacks).
At the end of last session, we left our heroes exploring one of the crystal towers of Tir’in’tiral (the Night Realm in ancient Elven). Krorz has just tripped a crude alarm trap and as the rattle and clatter of it faded he moved bravely forward through the skeleton-strewn corridor.
At the end of last session we left out heroes recovering from their initial explorations. With nowhere to go but forward, however, they had little choice as to how to proceed.
At the end of last session we left the party in a precarious position. Having following their enemy through a strange grey portal they had discovered themselves…elsewhere…
