At the end of last session we left one party of adventurers deep in the Loftwood. Having destroyed the main defences of Xul-Jarak, they began their return journey. However, now we turn to the fortunes of the adventurers who decided to join Ratik’s Volunteer Borderers to help push back the orc host.

At the end of the last session, we left our heroes standing triumphantly in Xul-Jarak’s throne room over the corpses of many slain orc warriors. However, the orc’s critically injured leader, Daazlag, had eluded them by cloaking himself in invisibility.
At the end of the last session we left our heroes atop Xul-Jarak’s battlements having breached the fortress without too much trouble.
This elegantly-carved hollow golden horn is slightly warm to the touch and radiates a barely perceptible glow.
After, the harrowing events surrounding their failed exploration of Xul-Jarak, the survivors rested in Ratikhill for a little over a month. As Ratik’s armies mustered about the city in preparation for moving east to confronting the orcs, the heroes pondered their options…
